Chrysta L. Rose - MA, LMHC, LMFT

My experience has included work with families, couples, individuals, and adolescents in both agency and private practice settings. In my many years of experience I have witnessed first hand the beauty of human resiliency and the ability for relationships to heal and grow. It is for this reason I am so passionate about my work and the benefits of therapy. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon (T0825), a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Washington (LH60152242) and a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. I’ve achieved a Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University with an emphasis in Systems Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington.

Since closing my private practice in Seattle and moving to Ashland, Oregon in the fall of 2011, I have been humbled by the immense opportunity to work with countless couples, families and individuals in Southern Oregon. I am blessed to have built a thriving practice and treasure my work helping those in my own community to better their lives and relationships through psychotherapy. Although my therapeutic experiences include extensive time working with those that suffer from chronic mental illness, depression, anxiety and grief I have chosen to focus and specialize on work with couples.

Life is a network of relationships developed around ourselves, others and the greater world around us. Whether it’s through self-talk, interpersonal interactions, coping with life, health challenges, or family/marital issues, therapy is about these relationships. This philosophy has guided me in my work with couples for well over a decade. Focusing on couples provides me with an exceptional lens with which to work with individuals and families as well.

In my personal life, my husband and I have been in a successful committed relationship for over 20 years and are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl born in May of 2017. We also have two great rescued pooches in our family that continually provide us unending amounts of comic relief. My free time is spent outside enjoying the beauty of southern Oregon, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. I love to read, camp, hike, travel and am always up for an outdoor adventure.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my practice. I look forward to answering any questions that you may have about Ashland Center for Couples, my therapeutic experience or setting up an appointment.
